Sacrilegium is a survival-horror title in the works at Reality Pump

TopWare Interactive has announced Sacrilegium, a survival-horror title in the works from Two Worlds' developer Reality Pump Studios.

The game tells the story of Alex, a Californian and college student with combat and self-defense training who uses her skills to maneuver around and defeat "a large array of dangerous and mysterious monstrosities," which preside in the province of Sacrilegium where her and her friends have been thrust.

Sacrificing her own mortality for the safety of her friends, Alex discovers "more than she ever bargained for on the road to truth and salvation, with unforeseen and unnatural twists and secrets revealed, right up until the very end."

Sacrilegium was built using the GRACE 2 engine, the predecessor of which was the basis for Two Worlds 2.

"It pleased us that we succeeded to develop the GRACE 2 engine in a way, that enables us to present models and landscapes that make photos look like charcoal drawings compared to the game," said Miroslaw Dymek, CEO of Reality Pump Studios. "After all the years that we ‘ve dealt with the appearance of medieval stories, it was time to pool the experience acquired and integrate that into a modern action adventure.

"We’ve definitely achieved that with Sacrilegium".

More information on the game and the GRACE 2 engine will be revealed at a later date.

The game is in development for Mac, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
