Sackboy's PS5 DualSense death scream will haunt your dreams

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is fun for everyone, but I could do without his blood-curdling death cry.

One of the PS5's launch titles, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, is expectedly a cute romp through some colourful fantasy zones. It's at times really rather adorable, but I wasn't prepared for the horror that is Sackboy's death cry.

As you can hear (and see) in the video above, when Sackboy falls to his death, his final sounds are played through the DualSense speaker. The first time this happens it's extremely alarming. One second you're jumping around with glee, the next your eardrum is being assaulted by a sound effect that wouldn't be out of place in a SAW movie.

You can tweak the DualSense settings to lower the volume of the speaker, which I recommend, unless you want to repeatedly raise your heart rate with jump scares.

The PS5 DualSense is a superb bit of kit and is best shown off in pack-in title Astro's Playroom. For more on the PS5 you can check out our PS5 review and find out what we thought of the biggest launch title, Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure launches for PS5 on November 12 or November 19 depending on when the console launches in your region. It will also be available on PS4.
