Rumour - Team Bondi to join Dr D Studios

Kotaku is citing sources inside Sydney film studios suggesting a possible acquisition of LA Noire developer Team Bondi.

“The word is going round that Team Bondi is being folded into KMM studios, Team Bondi is pretty much doomed after the scandal and can’t find any new supporters, so by doing this they can hide their name," a Dr D source reportedly said.

Another source at sister studio Kennedy-Miller Mitchell Films said he or she would be surprised if the rumours weren't true.

Team Bondi founder and lead Brendan McNamara is said to have been given a tour of the George Miller-owned Dr D. Studios, which is currently at work on Happy Feet 2.

The visit was described as uncomfortable for former Team Bondi staffers who found employment at Dr D after fleeing McNamara's reportedly strict management style.

Somewhat disturbingly, Kotaku claims there is talk that Dr. D founder Miller is impressed by McNamara's reputation for pushing for deadlines, echoing whispers that the studio has abandoned work on an upcoming Mad Max game in order to meet Miller's apparently impossible deadlines for Happy Feet 2.
