Rumour - BioWare looking to implement online multiplayer into Mass Effect

masseffect214

Online battles with the Geth or the Collectors may soon be on the cards for Mass Effect 3: a recent BioWare job listing may suggest as such.

According to a listing left by EA senior recruiter Jeff Goldstein on LinkedIn, which has since been removed, the developer's flagship studio in Montreal is looking for a "Multiplayer Programmer (Mass Effect)".

It backs up claims from BioWare boss Ray Muzyka last year that it would be looking into adding multiplayer in some form to both Mass Effect and Dragon Age with co-op.

"Sure, we would consider it," he said back in November. "We haven’t announced anything on that front yet, but those are interesting ideas. They could make a great gameplay experience. Whether we’ll do them or not remains to be decided."

Pew, pew, and stuff.

There's a screengrab of the job listing here.
