Rumor – Crytek’s Ryse slated for next-gen Xbox console

Crytek's Kinect action title Ryse is rumored to be releasing on the next iteration of the Xbox console, missing the 360 all together.

The rumor stems from a LinkedIn profile belonging to the game's senior level designer who left Crytek for Ubisoft. The game is listed on her profile as an "X-Box Next Gen" project."

Further fuel to the rumor was added by a NeoGAF user who, while attending a CryEngine 3 student lecture, overheard a Crytek representative state there was a "big chance of Ryse going next gen because of all the work they had to do and all the people they are hiring for the Ryse team."

Crytek and Microsoft Game Studios were both approached for comment by Eurogamer, with the former telling the site: "We don't comment on rumours and speculation."

Ryse, formerly known as Codename Kingdoms, was formally announced at E3, and as of yet, the gladiator-style game is without an estimated released date.
