Ruffian's Game of Glens put on hold

Game of Glens is one of three games by Scottish developer Ruffian Games, that are part of Square Enix Collective projects. The game has been put on hold according to game producer, Jim Cope.

Game of Glens is a game that mixes strategy and action, and according to the developer, it has struggled with it. The developer asked users if they'd back this project through crowd-funding, with only 40% votig ses.

"We're really glad Collective has opened fully and look forward to seeing what comes out of the process," producer Jim Cope told Eurogamer.

"Obviously we would have liked our Game of Glens pitch to fare better but we still believe in it and think we can still find the right audience for the game. So exactly what we do with Game of Glens next is undecided.

"We're pursuing a number of options and are giving it a bit of time to follow those up. That breathing room plays as an advantage to our other, bigger, projects which are keeping us really busy and are shaping up really well," he added.

As a result, Tuque Games' World War Machine will begin its crowd-funding campaign on The Collective, as it's the next game with the high vote of 90% on the service.
