Rovio buys Futuremark Games Studio

Angry Birds creator Rovio has announced its bought fellow Finnish company Futuremark Games Studio.

The buy will enable Rovio to make more new games, with Futuremark focussing on its benchmarking of 3D hardware and games.

"They are an incredibly talented and experienced team, and we are thrilled to have them on board," said Rovio chief executive Mikael Hed.

"Rovio’s success is founded on the excellence of our team, and Futuremark Games Studio is going to be a superb addition.”

Rovio launched Angry Birds Space last week for multiple platforms.
