Roller Champions is a free-to-play PvP sports game out in early 2020

Roller Champions is real, and it was just revealed by Ubisoft.

Roller Champions is Ubisoft's second major foray into the action sports market after Steep. The game was made official today at the publisher's E3 2019 event.

Roller Champions is essentially a roller derby game taking place inside closed circuits. It's a free to play, PvP sports game, where two teams of three players face off in global arenas.

The objective is to grab the ball and work with your teammates to dodge, pass, and score on opponents. Be sure to use speed and smarts if you wish to best the other team and be the first to score five points.

You can even do crazy things like ride up walls to gain speed, get around opponents, which sounds super dangerous in real-life. You can also skate past the goal and try to circle the track again before scoring, which will increase the points you'll earn - but at the risk of losing the ball and missing your opportunity.

Also, fans are your XP and as the fanbase grows, you'll new gear, outfits, animations, and customization items.

The multiplayer title will be available in early 2020. If you want a taste early, you can download the E3 demo for free now through June 14 on Uplay for PC.
