Rockstar is hosting a free development workshop for young girls

Rockstar is teaming up with Girls' Game Lab to teach young girls to make games.

Rockstar North, the developer's Edinburgh studio responsible for GTA, Red Dead Redemption and more, is hosting an introductory workshop into game development.

The free event takes place on February 22, though registration has since closed. It's organised by Girls' Game Lab, who will oversee activities like programming, asset creation, level design and more.

The workshop is available for girls aged 8-12, which hopefully means many of them will join the games industry later. Even in 2020, the UK games workforce is largely still dominated by males.
