Ringo Starr trademarks his name for a possible game

Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has filed a trademark application in order to secure his name for computer game software, toys and more for reasons unknown at this time.

Born as Richard Starkey, Starr filed the trademark back in January for "Ringo" under the goods and services description.

It appears there's a "downloadable computer games via the Internet and wireless devices," in our future, possibly. The trademark also covers "toys, namely toy vehicles, plush toys…etc."

No word yet on what this may be, but it doesn't look Thomas the Trail related at least, and we're hoping beyond all hope it's not Caveman related - unless a young Barbara Bach is involved.

Thanks, Gamespot.
