Resident Evil Revelations 2: ratings board may have leaked new playable character

The ESRB rating for Resident Evil Revelations 2 may have leaked news of a previously-unknown playable character.

We already knew the game features Moira Burton alongside Claire Redfield, but could we also be playing as Moira's father, Barry?

"This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the roles of an imprisoned woman and a father searching for his daughter on an island," says the official ESRB rating.

Mention of a "father" certainly sounds like it's Barry Burton, the S.T.A.R.S. team member last mentioned in Resident Evil 5.

Also of note, although no real surprise, is a list of weapons you'll be using in-game: "Players use pistols, machine guns, rocket launchers, shotguns, and knives to kill zombies..." states the ratings board.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is out next year.
