Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released episodically and on disc

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released episodically, according to an announcement from Capcom.

Set for an early 2015, the game will be similar to the episodic chapter set-up of the original Resident Evil Revelations but will initially release as weekly series downloads.

Each of the four episodes will end with "dramatic cliff-hangers" and for those who don't wish to buy episodes weekly, they can buy the Complete Season digital download.

Want to wait on a disc version? Good enough. Both the disc version - coming after all episodes are released - and the Complete Season will include additional game content, set to be "detailed in the coming weeks and months. "

Here's the breakdown:

  • Weekly Episodic download: 4 individual episodes for $5.99 each.
  • Complete Season: All 4 individual episodes plus additional game content for $24.99
  • Full Retail disc version: All 4 individual episodes plus additional game content for $39.99

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is coming to PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
