Resident Evil 2's The Ghost Survivors DLC is coming next month

Resident Evil 2's collection of "what if" survival stories can be downloaded for free on February 15.

The Ghost Survivors DLC was announced as a free update for Resident Evil 2 last week, and lets you play as characters who were killed-off in the game in an alternate reality scenario that sees them fighting to get out of Raccoon City.

Today, Capcom confirmed that the update will be available on February 15, and shared a few screenshots for good measure.

Players will be able to experience the outbreak from the point of view of gunshop owner Robert Kendo in No Time to Mourn, the mayor's daughter Katherine Warren in Runaway, and a soldier whose name I don't know in Forgotten Soldier, which is apt.

The Ghost Survivors will also contain additional content that Capcom hasn't elaborated on any further right now. All we know is that it will include randomised elements with players earning points as they explore. The points can then be spent at an in-game shop.

If you picked up the remake this week, be sure to check out our Resident Evil 2 guide hub for everything you could possibly need to know.
