Report: SCEE says PSP go £129 price was "website error"

GI's reporting that Sony's made a mistake on its website by offering PSP go for a dropped price of £129 in the UK, and is to revert the machine to £160.

A widely-reported UK price drop of £30 for the console was due to a 'website error', the company said today.

Reports surfaced following a repricing on the official Sony website, which was advertising the PSPgo at £129. This would have been the second price-drop in three weeks.

It's not known if Sony will honour any sales at the lower price.

The machine was officially dropped to £159.99, down from £199.99, on October 25.

Sony cut the cost of PSP Go globally on the same day. The new price for the digital-only handheld is ¥16,800 ($200/£132) in Japan, while the American price was reduced to $199, down from $249.
