Report - GTA V listed for October release

We may have a release window for Grand Theft Auto V, thanks to a rapidly-deleted reference on a Rockstar North employee's list of credits.

Joystiq reports one of Rockstar North's animators mentioned an October 2012 release date for the anticipated open world epic on both his LinkedIn profile and CV.

Both references have since been deleted, but Joystiq managed a screengrab.

As several observers have noted, a release in the same calendar year as Max Payne 3 would very much go against the grain for Rockstar, and October is already a particularly crowded month, with fellow Take Two child company 2K fielding Bioshock: Infinite.

Grand Theft Auto V was announced with a trailer in November 2011, but Rockstar is yet to give any indication of its release window or intended platform.
