Report: First games for Windows 8 Consumer Preview include Ms Splosion Man, Angry Birds

A source close to The Verge has provided a supposed list of the first games which will populate the Windows Store in the Windows 8 Consumer Preview build.

According to the source, Solitaire - as always, and Pinball will come pre-installed on Windows 8, with the additional Windows Store games available as optional downloads.

The Store will allow developers to submit free apps and games and charge between $1.49 and $999 with Microsoft taking 30% of the initial proceeds, and the 20% once the app or game reached $25,000 in sales.

Here's the rumored list, and you'll notice a couple high-profile titles in there:

  • Angry Birds
  • Crash Course
  • Full House Poker
  • Hydro Thunder
  • Ilomilo
  • Ms Splosion Man
  • Reckless Racing
  • Rocket Riot
  • Tentacles
  • Toy Soldiers
  • Wordament
