Report - DS biggest selling hardware in UK last year

MCV's reporting that Nintendo DS was the biggest selling games hardware in 2010 in the UK.

The handheld, combined of DSi, DSi XL and DS Lite, "outstripped" Xbox 360 by 50k despite a year-on-year decrease in sales.

Nintendo of America announced earlier this week that DS had hit 47 million units in the US, which leaves it 3 million units behind LtD sales of PS2 in the country.

Nintendo is planning to release a 3D SKU of DS, 3DS, in March in Europe. It'll release in Japan on February 26.

Specific dates and launch titles are expected to be announced on the week of January 17 in Holland and America.
