Rekoil: eSports and mod-focussed indie shooter headed to PC, Xbox 360

Independent developer Plastic Piranha has struck a deal with 505 Games to deliver Rekoil, a new multiplatform shooter with a strong community focus.
According to GameInformer, Rekoil is designed with an eSports bent keeping it focused purely on skill - there will be no killstreaks or vehicles.
Plastic Piranha wants modding to be a significant part of the experience, and has vowed to deliver community-made content to console gamers via DLC packs for both PC and Xbox 360.
Little else is known about the shooter except that it is set in - sigh - a world ravaged by plague. Disease is the new zombies, I tell you. Soon we'll cycle back around to nuclear fallout.
Expect Rekoil later this year.
