Metroidvania game Red Goddess: Inner World releases on PS4 today
Releasing today on PlayStation 4 is the Metroidvania game Red Goddess: Inner World.
A Metroidvania game is exactly how it sounds: an action-adventure title with gameplay that's a cross between the Metroid and Castlevania series.
In the brawling-adventure game from Yanim Studios, players explore the inner-mind of Divine, a goddess who is trying to remember and recover her powers. Something is "tearing her apart from the inside out" and to stop the mysterious and unknown assailant, players will need to search the planet which exists in her mind.
This non-linear planet contains caves, forests mountains and villages all fraught with peril and an emphasis on backtracking.
