Red Dead Redemption is still an incredibly beautiful game

Red Dead Redemption is one of the most beautiful games of the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation. No arguments.

Just look at Red Dead Redemption's incredible landscapes in the video above. Terrific. I wish I had time for another replay.

This is the latest entry in Andy Kelly's wonderful Other Places series; check out his YouTube channel or the Other Places website for more for more episodes including Skyrim, Tomb Raider and DayZ.

Red Dead Redemption won a lot of awards, achieved mass critical and fan acclaim, and sold like hotcakes. While its gameplay loop was fun and it told a pretty interesting story, for me it was Rockstar's incredible environmental design that won the day.

We expect a Red Dead Redemption sequel eventually but I for one am happy to wait; once-in-a-generation experiences like Redemption don't just happen overnight. You know, since it never made it off PS3 and Xbox 360, I think I'd almost be satisfied with an HD port for PC and new consoles.
