Red Dead Online update rolled back to combat issues

Rockstar has announced it is rolling back an update made to Red Dead Online.

The developer has rolled back the latest Red Dead Online title update for PS4 and Xbox One to help address issues and improve stability.

According to the studio, an update which intended to provide security improvements and address connection errors introduced the issues.

These issues ranged from connection problems, low animal spawn counts, difficulty pitching Camps, entering Moonshine shacks as well as others on consoles.

"We have reverted back to the previous version on those platforms, initially launched on July 28. This should address these recent issues and restore stability," reads the notice. "Meanwhile, we will continue to work to eliminate any remaining issues through future updates.

Other issues reported by players with the last update included the lack of NPCs,  glitches like floating carriages, invisible horses, and other strange occurrences.

The latest big update to the game was released in late July, and brought with it the new Frontier Pursuit called the Naturalist. As a Naturalist, you are tasked with tracking, studying, and hunting animals.

If you are just getting started in the new role, here's our Red Dead Online Naturalist Guide which shows you all Legendary Animal Locations and rewards.
