Free Honor reset, discount and more in Red Dead Online this week

New year, new you!

You can have a fresh start in Red Dead Online this week.

Until January 11, users can reset their Honor stat for free - in addition to scoring a reward for doing so – as well as change their character's appearance for half the regular cost. Furthermore, you can also get free haircuts and then head out to a local saloon for free drinks to show off your new look.

If that wasn't enough, you can score triple XP on Free Roam and A Land of Opportunities missions.

There's also discounts on a variety of items:

  • 30% off all Revolvers
  • 60% off all Ammo
  • 50% off all Food, Liquors and Tonics including Harriet's Tonics
  • 30% off Stable Stalls, Horse Tonics and Horse Food
  • 40% off Horse equipment – Saddles, Saddlebags, Stirrups, Blankets, Horns
  • 30% off all Legendary Ram Garment Sets in Gus’ Store

Red Dead Online launched as part of Red Dead Redemption 2 back in May 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before coming to PC and Google Stadia when the title was released for those platforms that November. Back in September 2019, we caught up with the game's lead open world design Scott Butchard to talk about the future of Red Dead Online.

A standalone version of Red Dead Online was rolled out on December 1, 2020. This is currently just $4.99, a rather aggressive introductory offer that's 75% below the game's regular price. This will be changing on February 15.
