Red Dead Online gets limited-time mode Fear of the Dark, new Legendary Bounty
Red Dead Online players can participate in a limited-time mode for Showdown and wrangle a new Legendary Bounty this week.
This week in Red Dead Online you can play Fear of the Dark, a new limited-time event for Showdown Mode.
In Fear of the Dark, Night Stalkers are pitted against Hunters. The Night Stalker's powers are limited to skull masks scattered about, and the more masks Hunters grabs the weaker the Night Stalkers become. The more mask Hunters grab, the more powerful their weapon become.
Hunters will need to collect all of the masks and kill all Night Stalkers in order to win. Night Stalkers can win by either killing all of the Hunters or surviving until the time limit expires. Winning a round will also net you an exclusive tint of the Freak Mask as a reward.
Play Fear of the Dark now through November 12 and also earn 3X Gold and 2X RDO$ through November 3.

This week it's a corrupt politician named Tobin Winfield who is wanted for larceny and embezzlement. He was was last seen around Thieves' Landing.
Collectors this week should pay a visit to Madam Nazar who wants you to track down the Veteran's Collection, consisting of the 1792 Quarter, Old Tom Gin and Aubrey Onyx Ring.
Also, like last week, Specialists can still receive free, exclusive variants of various Halloween masks. Those who achieve Tiers 10 and 20 of the Outlaw Pass will nab the Freak and Horror Mask, respectively, through November 3.
If you need a hand-held chopping weapon this week, and want to save some cash, all Cleavers, Machetes, Tomahawks and Throwing Knives are 30% off.
New duds available this week include the Tobacco Hat, Thacker Hat, Torranca Coat, Manstilla Poncho, Creswell Skirt, Sierra Boots and Pickett Boots.
Finally, as a reminder, PlayStation Plus players have until November 4 to claim and exclusive colorway of the Killiman Vest while. And players who connect their Social Club account with Twitch Prime will nab a free Bounty Hunter license and can take an additional 10% off this week's weapon discounts.
