If you're scouring Red Dead Online for all the best loot available, you'll want to find the legendary Gabbro Horn Ram, a large goat with a rare pelt and a lot of experience behind it. Legendary Gabbro Horn Ram Location in Red Dead Online
The legendary Gabbro Horn ram's location in Red Dead Online is in New Austin, on all sides of Lake Don Julio and the desert area close around it. So far we've only seen it encountered during the day, and in sunny weather too. There's also reports that it won't appear until you're at least level 5 in the Naturalist role - if you haven't reached that point yet, we've laid out a guide on how to farm Naturalist experience quickly here. Gabbro Horn Ram PS4 Exclusive
So far the Gabbro Horn Ram is exclusive to the PS4 version of Red Dead Online, though it's uncertain as to whether it will be added to other platforms later. We'll be sure to update this guide accordingly if details change.
How to Hunt the Gabbro Horn Ram
The Gabbro Horn Ram needs at least five shots with sedative ammunition to knock it out. This shouldn't prove too much trouble, as the ram will not attack (only run away) and the landscape around New Austin is relatively flat with little in the way of concealment. Keep pace with it on your horse, and you'll eventually bring it down, whether you're doing so lethally or non-lethally.
Spare or Kill the Gabbro Horn Ram
As one of the legendary animals with a special pelt, you can bring in the Gabbro Horn Ram's body to Gus in order to get a special coat. This one is pretty cool, with a ram's head resting on top of your own with a pair of magnificent spiralling horns running out the back of it. For that reason, you should probably go for the kill the first time you encounter it, as otherwise all it'll give you is money and experience, which can be got with regular animals (though admittedly not as fast).
