Rayman Legends delay resulted in 30 more levels

Ubisoft Montpellier has been able to add a boatload of new content to Rayman Legends, which may help soothe your agitation over its long delay and multi-platform release.

Speaking to Official Nintendo Magazine, Rayman creator Michel Ancel said the work the studio is doing in the interim is quite significant.

"Trust me, the things we are adding aren't minor. We're not talking about adding some polish here and there, but 30 new levels and several new bosses," he said.

The platformer was expected to be a Wii U launch title, and some fans were vocal with their disappointment when the game was pushed back again and again, with Ubisoft eventually announcing it would come to other consoles, too.

"I wasn't shocked, but it was really hard for us," Ancel said of the reaction.

"Of course, there are more important issues and problems in the world but we worked really hard to make something and were so involved, it was difficult for us and the fans."

Rayman Legends is now expected in late September.

Thanks, Joystiq.
