Rainbow Six Siege April Fools' event is real, turns operators into toy soldiers
Rather than post a joke on social media, Rainbow Six Siege is instead using April Fools' Day as the basis for a new in-game event.
The Rainbow is Magic event in Rainbow Six Siege is available now and until Monday, April 8. Rainbow is Magic turns the game's Plane map into a sort of toy box, changing up its entire look.
Operators, on the other hand, were made to look like toy soldiers. There's a lot of pink, and plenty of unicorns, probably to emphasise the magic element. The event's only game mode is hostage, though the hostage in this case is a giant teddy bear.
You'll be able to pick between 13 operators. Those being Recruit, Montagne, Blackbeard, Ash, Thermite, Thatcher, Sledge, Smoke, Castle, Kapkan, Bandit, Frost, and even Tachanka.
Rainbow is Magic brings 17 new cosmetic items, available in limited packs that cost 300 R6 Credits. These can also be earned by playing, and completing Ubisoft Club challenges. Smoke, Tachanka, Montagne, and Blackbeard all have new outfits and headgear to collect.
