Rainbow Six Pro League Season One kicks off in March with $100,000 on the line

Think you're pretty good at Rainbow Six Siege? Then try your hand at competing.

Ubisoft, Xbox and the ESL have joined forces to form the Rainbow Six Pro League. It's a global competition for both casual players and "aspiring competitors."

“Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege was built from the ground up with competition in mind,” said the game's creative director Xavier Marquis. “We’re excited to partner with ESL, one of the biggest names in eSports, to deliver a league for Rainbow Six Siege fans to compete and enjoy the game they love.”

Starting March 4 for PC and Xbox One, Season One of the Rainbow Six Pro League will premiere at the Intel Extreme Masters in Katowice, Poland.

A total of eight matches will kick off the European PC competition. The event starts in the North American region on PC and Xbox One in the weeks after.

The Season One prize pool is worth $100,000 and at the end of each season, the top placing teams in Europe and North America will compete at a live event with $50,000 in prize money for both the Xbox One and PC Season Finals.

Details on the competition and the qualifiers are available through the Rainbow Six Pro League website.

Grab some buddies, fire up Rainbow Six Siege, and start practicing for the main event in the weekly cups from today.
