Quick Shots - Silicon's Orochi engine updated with Vita support

In anticipation of the Vita's release, Silicon Studio has released an updated version of its popular engine, Orochi. Andriasang reports the new middleware allows for easy porting of PC games to Vita as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and also aids simultaneous PS3 and Vita development. The company released some comparison screens of the engine running on PC, PS3 and Windows, which are suitably impressive - check 'em out through the break.

Silicon Studio is also a game developer, having produced 3D Dot Heroes.

Thanks, Gama.
