Quantic Dream "worked very hard to implement" PS4 engine ideas into Beyond: Two Souls

Ever wondered how Beyond: Two Souls looks so goddamn good on the PS3? Quantic Dream co-CEO Guillaume Fondaumière has indicated the game utilises ideas garnered from PS4 hardware for much of its design.

The developer was amongst the first to receive PS4 development kits almost two years ago. It seems time spent with the upcoming console has held major influence over Beyond's evolution as a product.

"By exploring the PlayStation 4, we got new ideas and worked very hard to implement them into Beyond’s engine," Fondaumière revealed in an interview with Destructoid.

Fondaumière also confirmed the studio's next title will run on a new engine for the PS4. Details are rather scarce at this moment in time.
