Quake's original ad campaign featured a giant pie

Quake's original marketing campaign painted the game as a family sojourn into pie-eating country, incredibly.

Spotted by Reddit user PaperkutRob, the campaign focused on traditional values, such getting married, wearing the same clothes as your children and having a sniff of grandma's pie. All life's good things.

Quake released in 1996. Id's latest, Doom, doesn't have a release date, but the chances of even seeing it in public this year are slim. It was shown at Quakecon 2014 for the first time.
