Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Edition is real

Super Mario is being squeezed into the Puzzle & Dragons phenomenon with a new 3DS game out later this year.

Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition is due in Japan April 29, and will smush everyone's favourite jolly plumber into a blend of match-3 and RPG gameplay.

If you're not sure what Puzzle & Dragons is, it's a small mobile game from Japan that earns around a billion dollars a year on iOS and Android. Nintendo clearly wants some of that.
