PUBG Mobile quietly made more money than any other mobile game in Q3

PUBG Mobile made nearly half-a-billion dollars in the last four months alone.

During quarter three of this calendar year, PUBG Mobile generated more revenue than any other mobile game worldwide, according to new data by Sensor Tower. The free-to-play game generated $496 million during the quarter, a 652% increase over the same period last year.

PUBG Mobile successfully dethroned Honor of Kings, and Fate/Grand Order - the usual chart toppers on mobile. The game was also the second-most downloaded worldwide during the same quarter.

Pokemon Go, which landed at number four, was Q3's fastest-growing in revenue, bringing in $308 million - a 63% growth compared to Q2.

Elsewhere in the charts, the recently released Mario Kart Tour landed at number three on the most downloaded games list in Q3, despite the game having actually been available for less than a month. That said, its revenue wasn't enough to land it anywhere in the top 100.
