The company announced the downtime on the community blog.

The service will go offline from 17:00 until 20:30 GMT on Thursday, February 12.

During this period, you won't be able to login to your account or access the store. On PlayStation 4, you'll still be able to play online if you're using a console activated as your Primary system and have used the same console recently to login to your account.

As for PlayStation 3 and Vita, online play will be available to anyone who recently signed into their account, although users may experience "limited PSN functionality."

Additional downtime following that period could occur for "testing purposes."
