PSA: Nintendo 3DS western price-cut takes hold from today

Just a heads-up reminder, just in case you didn't get the several notes we posted before this one earlier in the week: Nintendo has cut the price of 3DS as of today in the west after it went into effect from yesterday in Japan.

It doesn't seem to be know what the new general RRP is yet, but everyone seems to be advertising it for around the £150 barrier in the UK anyways: Tesco and Morrisons have it for £115 and £120.

Asda is selling it for £135, according to MCV, alongside GameStop UK, with Sainsburys on £140.

GAME are asking for £150 for just the console on its own, but add another tenner and you'll get Zelda for your troubles. You'll also be able to buy a 3DS in store if you trade in a DSi.

In the US, Target dropped the price early to to $169 back on Wednesday ahead of today's cut. Members of GameStop's PowerUp program will be allowed to upgrade from a DS to a 3DS for this weekend only.
