PS4 sold 66% more units than Xbox One last month - Pachter

PlayStation 4 is significantly outselling Xbox One, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter said in a recent note to investors.

As reported by MCV, Pachter estimates the PS4 sold 1.25 million units in the US during the month of November, while the Xbox One sold 750,000 - putting the PS4 in front by 66% more unit sales.

Before you sound the victory bell, remember the PS4 launched on November 15, giving it 15 says on sale during the month, while the Xbox One launched on November 22, leaving it just eight days.

Pachter's estimates, which we'll know the accuracy of once the November NPD report releases, suggest sales of new consoles have come at a cost to existing hardware. The analyst believes the PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360's hardware sales have fallen 28%, 65% and 44% year-on-year respectively.

Pachter has always been a strong believer in Microsoft but has warned the platform holder must drop the price on the Xbox One or PS4 will "win" this generation.
