PS4 firmware update 7.02 is here, a week after 7.01 released

Sony has released a new PS4 firmware update.

Earlier today, PS4 owners everywhere were surprised to find a new firmware update waiting for them. This week's release is 7.02, which arrives just eight days after last week's 7.01.

Two releases in a few short days is a bit unusual for Sony, and we sadly don't have anything but the "this system software update improves system performance" patch note to go on. Which, in case it wasn't clear, is the same bog-standard phrase Sony has bee using for these incremental updates.

Nevertheless, this update, like all others, is required for playing online. Be sure to download it as soon as possible, though it may already be installed by the time you get home if your console was leftidling in Rest Mode.

It's only a 447.9MB download, so shouldn't take long.
