There's a new PS4 firmware update that does the one thing you can't get enough of

A new, minor firmware update to your PS4 has gone live.

Sony has released a new firmware update for PlayStation 4. The update carries version number 4.55, and it follows on from the feature-stacked 4.50 update released in March.

As you've probably guessed from the small version change, this update doesn't bring earth-shattering additions. Though you may be happy to know that Sony replaced the vague "stability" with something new, but equally vague.

"This system software update improves the quality of the system performance" is the only patch note released. The update is now live worldwide, clocking in at 324.1MB.

The previous firmware update added external HDD support, a performance boost to unpatched games on PS4 Pro, and much more. See the link above for details.
