"PS3mote" chatter starts to stick, PlayStationLifestyle.net goes off air

Videogaming247 has received word from senior development sources today that the "PS3mote" rumoured by PlayStationLifestyle.net on Saturday is more than idle chit-chat.

In particular, we've received one major off the record hint today that there's truth in the report.

As you can see, the site that originally posted the story has now been taken down. The story page now brings up a 404.

The piece said that focus group tested a motion-sensing PlayStation 3 controller in California earlier this year, playing mini-games which ranged from tennis to fencing and paintball.

Apparently the guy in charge of the demo even used the device to play Quake on his laptop.

Sony has already declined to comment on the matter.
