PS Plus: Over $1,200 in savings, 17 free games and 132 PS3 game discounts in 2011
SCEA has announced its PlayStation Plus services has delivered over $1,200 in subscriber savings in 2011, and over the course of the service, has handed out 17 free games PS3, provided 132 PS3 game discounts, released 43 full game trials, and launched six early access demos along with access to four betas.
Subscribers also received bonus discounts of up to 80% throughout the year.
“It’s been exciting to see such positive feedback from the PlayStation Community as we’ve offered free games such as Plants vs. Zombies, full-game trials like Red Dead Redemption and early access to the highly anticipated Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Multiplayer Beta -- all for just over $4 a month,” said Brandon Stander, director of PSN marketing at SCEA.
“At the end of the year the total value in free games and discounts offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers will be more than $1,200, and that doesn’t include the convenience and access to features such as automatic updates and online game saves. Now, as we head into 2012, we’re looking to expand and evolve PlayStation Plus to give subscribers even more savings and exclusive deals.”
