PS Move takes only "1-2Mb" of system memory to run

Speaking at GDC yesterday, Sony tech bods said PlayStation Move has virtually no impact on PS3's memory constraints, needing only 1-2Mb to run.

The titbit came during Move's tech session at the San Francisco show, in which it was reiterated that all Move calculations are handled on PS3's Cell and take "under a frame" to translate to a game experience.

The CPU load wasn't revealed.

Move, the now-confirmed name for the PS3 Motion Controller, was announced at a press conference at GDC earlier this week. Games, images, movies and the like were splurged across California - you can get the lot, including everyone's impressions of play, right here.

Thanks, Joystiq.
