Project Unity: modder makes console that houses 15 different formats in one
Project Unity is a custom console that houses 15 retro formats in one rig, compiling 300 metres of cable and around 3,000 hours of work across three years by its creator Bacteria. He has posted a video online showing how he created the console.
The rig houses console boards for Atari 7800, Colecovision, Dreamcast, GameCube (with GBA Player attached), Amstrad GX4000, Intellivision, Mega Drive, Nintendo 64, NeoGeo, NES, PSone, PS2, Sega Master System, Saturn, Super Nintendo, and Turbo Grafx.
Best of all the rig doesn't emulate the games at all, as each of the console's boards exist in their entirety within the rig's shell. Each console within the rig can be controlled by the same controller, which is a hybrid of all of the formats listed above. It's a beast.
