Prison Architect is almost ready to leave Early Access.

Prison Architect will release in full on October 6, Introversion Software has announced.

Eurogamer reports the full release build will include four new chapters of story mode as well as an all new mode called Escape.

Escape has you attempting to, uh, escape prisons built by players - either your own, or those others have made. Over 12,000 are already available. You'll be able to do anything prisoners do - form gangs, steal knives, dig tunnels and more - and can level up your character for higher stats and access to better gear.

The main mode of Prison Architect is a sandbox building simulation. Introversion said story mode makes a nice introduction to the challenges of freeform play.
