Pre-release demo for Alan Wake unlikely, says Remedy

Alan Wake 2

Expecting an Alan Wake demo before its spring release, kiddlewinks?

Too bad: it's unlikely to happen, according to Remedy.

"Demo before the launch, most likely not," said the developer's CFO, Mika Reini when asked if there would be a pre-release taster during a live-chat with fans.

Earlier, Reini confirmed the game would see a "a conclusive and satisfactory ending" while also confirming the game's recently announced DLC is still in the "idea stage."

Remedy also hinted at a collector's edition for the thriller, although it wouldn't confirm or deny one.

It was also re-confirmed in the chat that the game would see a release during spring 2010 - as first confirmed by writer Sam Lake - with the date already set for a while now.

Asked if it was indeed spring, Remedy's Markus Maki said: "Yes. Definitely.

"We have a specific date. It will be announced in the near future."
