Pre-order StarCraft II at Gamestop, get beta access

starcraftiilogonew

US? Got a Gamestop nearby? Go pre-order StarCraft II right now.

If you place an order down on the Blizzard RTS, you can get access to the beta that's currently ongoing.

The information on the Gamestop website reads like this:

"Reserve StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and receive an invitation to the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta. Available online and in-store while supplies last. Once you receive your Beta Code your order cannot be canceled.

Online Customers (web delivery): A code and instructions on how to join the beta will be emailed within 1 business day of when your order was placed.

In-Store Pickup Customers: Please wait 24 hours after your order is placed, then proceed to your store to pick up your beta code.

Store Customers: A beta code will be printed on your pre-order receipt."

Beware, though. If you place an order through the first two of the three options, you won't be able to cancel your order. Surely it'll be worth it though, yes?

The game is due out within the first half of this year, with a release date to be announced “in the coming weeks”.

A €90 collector’s edition was recently announced, while an AO rating was given recently in Korea for it.

A Mac version of the beta is set to release next week.

Thanks, Kotaku.
