PopCap launches freemium Bejeweled and Blitz games on iOS devices

PopCap plans to release two Bejeweled games for iOS, which will retire the current version of Bejeweled 2 + Blitz in order to switch over to a new freemium F2P model, which recently launched on portable Apple systems. Blitz contains the same 60-second gameplay as the previous version, and includes Facebook integration and a new user-interface for the Retina display screen. Coins will act as the currency behind the F2P version, and players will be able to unlock additional coins using The Daily Spin mode once per day. Bejeweled will be re-released with HD graphics and retina display support with the following three game modes: Classic, Zen, and Diamond Mine. Thanks, Shack.
