Police Warfare to become a reality, Kickstarter launched by industry veterans

Originally posted to YouTube as a fictional installment in the Call of Duty franchise, Police Warfare has emerged as an ambitious Kickstarter project from a team of industry veterans.

The project is in the works at Elastic Games. Team members are said to have worked for the likes of Ubisoft, Epic Games, Electronic Arts and Crytek, with a track record that includes titles such as Far Cry 3, Gears Of War, Crysis 1/2, Assassin's Creed 2, Medal Of Honor: Airborne, Golden Eye, Killzone 2, and Grand Theft Auto 4.

Lead Designer James Wearing states that the team have spent the past 6 months in pre-production: designing original characters, vehicles, environments, animation, storyboards and gameplay mechanics.  Apparently the team also brought on real law enforcement advisors to provide tactical expertise, resources and knowledge.

Elastic Games have set a $325,000 goal. You have until Friday May 18, 3:51pm GMT to pledge towards the project.
