Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield coming to Switch in late 2019

Nintendo announced Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield for Switch during the Pokemon Direct.

Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield is in development and will bring Generation 8 to Switch consoles.

Three starter Pokemon were announced: Grass-type Grookey, Fire-type Scorbunny, and Water-type Sobble.

The new entries will take place in Galar, a fictional area of England.

This expansive region features various environments such as the countryside, contemporary cities, thick forests, and craggy, snow-covered mountains.

You’ll visit the various Gyms in the region, and work your way to becoming Champion.

The latest Pokemon game was officially announced at E3 2017 and slated for release during the second half of 2019.

Nintendo confirmed today Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield releases in late 2019.

Both versions are available for pre-order through AmazonBest Buy, GameStop, and GAME. A listing hasn't popped up on Amazon UK as of press time.
