Legendary Pokemon Entei and Raikou will be available for Pokemon Sun and Moon starting April 4

Legendary Pokemon Entei and Raikou will be made available for Pokemon Sun and Moon, and Ultra Sun and Moon players starting tomorrow.

The Pokemon Company announced today when players of either edition of Pokemon Sun and Moon can expect Entei and Raikou from the Johto region to be made available.

Both of the Legendary Pokemon will be distributed for 3DS systems  April 4 - April 25 via Nintendo Network in Europe.

In the US, Pokemon players will need to visit their local Target store to grab the code April 22-29.

Pokemon Ultra Sun or Pokemon Sun players will be able add the Fire-Type Entei to their game. Pokemon Moon and Ultra Moon players will receive a code for the Electric-type Raikou. Stats for each Pokemon are posted in the image below.

Raikou can shoot bolts of lightning from the rain clouds on its back and Entei is thought to have been born inside an erupting volcano.

How to get Entei or Raikou for Pokemon Sun and Moon

  1. Open your Pokemon Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Moon game.
  2. Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
  3. Select Receive Gift.
  4. Select Get with Code/Password, then Yes, then Yes again to connect to the internet.
  5. Enter your code.
  6. Watch as you receive your Pokémon.
  7. Resume the game, make sure you have an empty space in your party, and speak to the delivery person in any Pokemon Center to receive your Pokemon.
  8. Be sure to save your game.

The next distribution will occur in May when Xerneas, the Fairy-type and Yveltal, the Dark/ Flying-type from the Kalos region are handed out.

In March, Legendary Pokemon Regigigas and Heatran were made available for Pokemon Sun and Moon, and Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon. Nintendo distributed Legendary Dialga and Palkia in February, and there will be more legendaries handed out monthly through November.
