Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Eevee - exclusive Pokemon, story, gameplay, online details

Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee will feature Pokemon exclusive to each game, and extra details regarding online and local play were announced today.

Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee will feature exclusive Pokemon, such as Fire-type Vulpix in the latter.

In Let's Go Pikachu, exclusive Pokemon include Oddish, Sandshrew and Growlithe. In addition to Vulpix, Bellsprout and Meowth are exclusive to Eeeve.

Players starting either game will find the title partner Pokemon available from the beginning. Neither Pikachu nor Eeeve will evolve in-game, and they will travel with the player throughout the various adventures.

Along with feeding, playing with, and loving on their Pikachu or Eevee, Trainers can give them new hairstyles, and add accessories. Trainers can also be customized with clothing, and the like.

As players travel throughout the Kanto region, new and familiar faces will be met. Professor Oak returns, alongside a new Rival, to present the Pokedex. Players will be able to battle Gym leaders across Kanto, including Brock and Misty.

Pokemon Let's Go players can not only battle in-game Trainers, but real-life opponents through online and local wireless. They will also be able to trade Pokemon with each other in order to complete their Pokedex.

Pokemon: Let's Go online and local co-op

For the first time in a mainline Pokemon game, two people will be able to play together on one system. Playing together will make it easier to catch Pokemon and battle against tough Trainers as a tag team.

The Poke Ball Plus device can be used to play Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Let’s Go, Eevee in place of a Joy-Con or alongside the Pokemon Go app, as previously reported.

Poke Ball Plus also allows players to bring one of their Pokemon from either Let’s Go game as they explore the real world. As we previously told you, Mythical Pokemon Mew is pre-installed on Poke Ball Plus, and players will be able to transfer the cat critter to their version of the game.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee release November 16 for Switch. The Poke Ball Plus will be available at retail on the same day.
