Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee are the fastest-selling Switch titles to date

Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee set a new record on Nintendo Switch.

Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee sold three million copies in their launch week, becoming the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch games on the platform so far. The Pokemon company shared the news on Twitter earlier today.

Both games released for the Switch last week, on November 16, to some reviews, but some users review bombed the titles on Metacritic resulting in a huge disparity between the critics' average score of 81 and the users' 5.7.

Alex called it "a dose of nostalgia for fans, and a perfect gateway for newcomers," in his review.

Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee entered the UK charts at No.4 and No.6 respectively, but combining the numbers for both would have put them at the top spot, ahead of last week's other two new release, Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Fallout 76, which debuted at No.1 and No.3.
